We live in the Portland, Oregon area and
love it! We have included some pictures of our house. It is our
first. As soon as Cathy saw the green roof and the wetlands behind, it was pretty much a done deal. The wife
of the couple that built the house enjoyed the color green as
much as Cathy, how convenient! The backyard was nothing but a big
mess when we moved in. Bill built our retaining wall himself and
put in our fence (with the help of a neighbor).We have since
seeded a lawn, added raised vegetable beds, a rose garden, and many trees. Future landscaping will include
only native
plants, and we hope to include a
pond sometime soon. The front yard was already landscaped, but we
had to redo the lawn and have added over 100 bulbs, as well as a few trees. Now we're just waiting
for everything to grow up. We also have some pictures of Oregon
